Depression

Let's take one step at a time
Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling low, overwhelmed, or disconnected at times.
While these feelings are normal and a part of being human, they can become debilitating if they persist for too long. Experiences of loss, change in circumstances, isolation, chaotic or unsafe family dynamics, relationship breakdown, and many other life stressors can have us feeling stuck, powerless or even hopeless. It can be hard to find motivation, enjoy daily life, connect with others, or feel good about ourselves. Sometimes we may not have considered that we are sitting in depression or grief, at other times we know but feel helpless.
There can also be feelings of shame, worthlessness or guilt, and thoughts of not wanting to be around anymore. It's imperative to recognise that we need each other to get through these times, so we don't have to do this on our own. Isolating yourself can just make it worse. It's vitally important to reach out for help and support, because with the right help these circumstances can change.
How depression & grief counselling can help
